Marks Sattin are delighted to be partnering with a well-established independent accountancy practice based in North Leeds, who are looking to appoint a Trust Tax Assistant Manager or Manager to join their growing Private Client team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced trust tax specialist looking to take on a varied and rewarding role within a supportive, people-focused firm that offers flexibility, autonomy, and genuine work-life balance.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for managing a portfolio of trust and private client tax cases, providing high-quality compliance and advisory services. The role offers a diverse workload across UK trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individuals, with exposure to interesting and complex structures.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and reviewing trust and estate tax returns.
• Managing a portfolio of trust clients and liaising directly with trustees, solicitors, and beneficiaries.
• Advising on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and income tax matters related to trusts and estates.
• Supporting partners with ad hoc tax planning and advisory projects.
• Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering excellent client service.

About You

• Previous experience in trust taxation within an accountancy firm or specialist tax practice.
• Strong understanding of trust and estate tax compliance and related legislation.
