1. Financial Restructuring
2. Operational Restructuring
3. Private Equity (taking equity stake in the under performing business to turn it around)
You would be joining a small but elite team, where an entrepreneurial attitude is a must. Where you are keen to fast-track your career, but where you are also not afraid to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in. Rather than specialise in any one of the 3 areas above, it's likely that you would enjoy a combination of all of them and then specialise as you develop your career and as the firm grows.
They are looking for do-ers and your career could easily be fast-tracked if you seize all the opportunities that you arise.
They take a very hands-on operational restructuring approach, so in addition to the advice/investment experience that you offer you may also parachute into the companies to help implement the turnaround solution.
You should have:
· A professional qualification (CA, ICAS, MBA).
· Experience in an advisory or management consulting role (Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Restructuring, Recovery, Strategy, consulting ) from a Big 4 or leading consulting firm.
· Experience of helping turn a business around, debt, restructuring or performance improvement will be especially welcomed.
· Confidence and Gravitas is key as you will often delivering a difficult message to your clients - you must have the courage of your convictions.
