Large international business based in Reading - easily accessible by car or public transport are looking to bring in a VAT Assistant to join their team. Working as part of the group finance team you will report into the compliance officer to look after VAT activity. Some of the duties you can expect to see in this role are:

  • Prepare VAT data ready for filing
  • Complete reconciliations across the group's internal systems
  • Proactively work out ways to be more efficient and stay up to date with external factors that could affect processes and the way the team operate in the future

To be considered for this role you must have experience within a finance administration and be looking for more of a challenging role, or have exposure and knowledge of VAT and a keen interest to develop into a VAT specialist. You must have strong Excel skills and at least be able to work using V-Look ups and Pivot tables. You must be an excellent communicator and be able to communicate with all levels within the business. Strong time management and attention to detail is also key. A generous salary and benefits package is available.
