Denford tells us about what he enjoys most about our healthy work / life balance

Denford Mukarati | Consultant

When did you join Marks Sattin and how have you grown with us?

I joined back in October 2016 and I have definitely learnt a lot over the past year. I came in with one years worth of recruitment experience however I was very much aware that there were still gaps in my knowledge. The training programme at Marks Sattin has given me more confidence in my ability to recruit and I’ve been given the opportunity to work with some fantastic well known brands.

What are the biggest challenges of working the temp market?

Initially building a temp book and keeping it consistent has proven to be the most challenging part of my desk. Nevertheless it’s such a fast paced market and I’m rarely short of candidates or live jobs as the candidate database and PSL agreements at MS is second to none. I do however recognise that it is very demanding so I always have to be on my A game and also be one step ahead.

Do you feel like you have a healthy work life balance at Marks Sattin?

Definitely! My targets are realistic which means I am able to commit to work and other commitments without any pressure. Marks Sattin promotes a flexible working scheme, so if I need to leave early or would like to go to the gym at lunch, the opportunity is there to do so which actually proves for more productivity later on in the week. Marks Sattin also promotes several social events to take part in such as football tournaments, yoga, company paid lunches and early finishes, which is a bonus!
