Marks Sattin are supporting a Leeds city centre Based beauty retailer for the role of Accounts Assistant! This is a permanent role, perfect for a recent graduate looking to progress themselves within a transactional role. The role is paying £21,000 on a full time basis.

The position holder will assist the Financial Control function in day to day control processes, as well as support with month end close. The key objective of this role to maintain accurate and up to date accounts, and ensure accurate and timely month end reporting submission.

Day to Day responsibilities include:

• Ownership of UK bank reconciliations
• Supporting Purchase Ledger
• Supporting the transactional teams with day to day processing as required
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations and resolution of issues
• Support with UK & Hong Kong month end close process
• Support with the statutory audit process
• Implementing strong financial control disciplines
• Supporting UK Finance team, Finance projects & adhoc work

Requirements of the role:

Education and/or Skills required:

• University education preferable but not essential
• Strong Excel skills are essential

Other skills and attributes:

• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement processes and controls
• Prior experience working with SAP but not essential
• Numerate with the ability to analyse, process and present information concisely and clearly.
• Tenacious attitude with a proactive approach.

• Previous track record of working to deadlines and being a self starter.
• The ability to prioritise and change priorities at short notice.
