Start your job searchMarks Sattin are currently recruiting an Accounts Assistant on behalf of an award winning, family owned construction business, based in Scunthorpe.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong transactional background in finance, looking to utilise and develop their skillset to eventually work your way up within the business.
The purpose of the role is to manage and administrate all finance and accounting operations, whilst reporting directly to the Financial Director.
Duties will include however not be limited to;
- Purchase ledger - process invoices
- Sales ledger
- Credit Control
- Setting up new accounts
- Administration of Company sales
- To ensure at all times, minimal risk of delay to income
- Refine existing processes and standardise recovery
- Present reports to the FD with risk positions on income
- Undertake initial credit control reviews at tender stage
- Assisting with the preparation of Management Accounts
- Working with the Procurement Manager to manage the subcontractor labour and expenses
- Create and set up projects including nominal defaults and itemised VAT on Construction Manager
- Payment reconciliations
- Recover and maintain Debtor Retentions in a timely manner, reporting on aged debtors monthly
Salary is up to £32,000 depending on your level of experience
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Study support - AAT
Free onsite parking
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
