Part-Time Accounts Assistant | Northwich | Up to £35,000 | Immediate Start | 6-12 Month Contract
Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with a well-established SME is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Assistant to support their finance function on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic business environment and make a real impact in a hands-on role.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the Sales Ledger, including credit control
- Overseeing the Purchase Ledger, reconciling supplier statements, and preparing cheque runs
- Posting and reconciling bank transactions
- Preparing monthly journals
- Assisting with VAT returns
- Supporting payroll processes
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations
About You
- Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts assistant role
- Strong understanding of both sales and purchase ledger processes
- Confident with bank reconciliations and journal entries
- Familiarity with payroll and VAT procedures
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
