An Accounts Receivable Assistant is needed on a temporary basis for a successful interior design company based in Central London, for an initial period of 3 months.

The role is based 5 days per week in the office.

The Accounts Receivable Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of all Intrastat reporting and EC sales and purchases lists.
  • Processing sales invoices and ensure they are matched against customer purchase orders.
  • Collect and chase all company debts.
  • Process all customer payments into the accounting system.
  • Setting up new customers in the accounting system.
  • Dealing with invoice queries, ensuring these are dealt with promptly and liaising with other departments and customers as necessary, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Preparation and distribution of customer statements.
  • Keeping records of all communications with customers.
  • Keeping the Finance Manager up to date with any potential bad or doubtful debts.
  • Any other duties as required.

    The ideal Accounts Receivable Assistant will have:
  • Minimum of 3 years accounts receivable experience
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Being able to work on your initiative and as part of a team.
  • Always able to demonstrate proactivity and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience using Dynamics software (preferred but not essential)
