Marks Sattin are currently recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Team Leader to join a fast-growing business based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller/AR professional to step into a leadership position within a dynamic finance function. Previous management experience would also be highly favourable!

You will take ownership of the sales ledger and lead a small, dedicated team to ensure the efficient collection of cash and the resolution of billing queries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of AR Assistants, overseeing daily workloads and conducting performance reviews.

• Credit Control: Manage the end-to-end collection process, minimizing aged debt and maintaining low DSO levels.

• Ledger Management: Ensure accurate invoicing, cash allocation, and reconciliation of the sales ledger.

• Risk Management: Evaluate and set credit limits for new and existing accounts.

• Reporting: Produce monthly aged debt reports and provide cash flow forecasts to senior management.

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies within the AR and billing cycles to support business growth.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience within an Accounts Receivable or Credit Control environment.

• Previous experience supervising or leading a team is highly desirable.

• Strong communication skills with a professional approach to debt collection.

• Intermediate Excel skills (VLookups, Pivot Tables).

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
