My client in Harrogate is looking for an up and coming finance individual to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, related reports and commentary
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of forecasts
• Prepare other ad hoc reports as required
• Monitor and report on cashflow
• Work with the finance team to agree inter-company reconciliations
• Liaise with the team on any issues/discrepancies with the monthly management accounts or reconciliations and work with the team to resolve any queries
• Assist in audit queries and information for preparation of statutory accounts
• Prepare tax returns, such as VAT reports
• Maintain controls and processes
• Coach other members of the team on accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll matters. Support them to resolve problems and queries.

Requirements: Essential

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Good level of Excel skills and overall IT literacy
• Strong communication skills with a need to be able to communicate with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Deliver accurate output within agreed deadlines
• Latter stages of CIMA/ACCA/Newly qualified
• Understanding of accounting systems
