Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and commercially astute Part-Qualified Accountant to join our clients dynamic finance team in Macclesfield. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a CIMA or ACCA studier who is keen to move beyond traditional accounting and partner with key business stakeholders. You will provide critical financial insights, analysis, and support to drive strategic decision-making, profitability, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with non-finance departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations) to provide financial guidance, challenge assumptions, and support commercial initiatives.
  • Analysis & Reporting: Develop and maintain robust financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. Produce insightful variance analysis and commentary on business performance against targets.
  • Commercial Support: Evaluate the financial viability of new business proposals, pricing strategies, and investment opportunities, presenting clear recommendations to senior management.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting to enhance efficiency and the quality of management information.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • Actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA or ACCA).
  • Demonstrable experience in a commercial finance or management accounting role.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive and inquisitive mindset with a strong commercial acumen.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Previous experience within the FMCG, B2B, Retail, or Manufacturing sectors.

In return you will be offered a fantastic package with generous starting slaary, bonus up to 15% (PRP) 25 days holday and a very flexible working pattern, following probabtion where you will work in the office just two days a week.
