Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a household name business in the Nottingham area to recruit a Commercial Finance Business Partner. The role is an exciting new position which will business partner with a variety of stakeholders to drive business performance. This is a hybrid working role so applicants must be within a commutable distance.

The Commercial Finance Business Partner role is a varied role which will support the Commercial Finance Manager in delivering an effective business partnering service across the Business Unit. As Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will be liaising with various stakeholders around the business, providing commercial insight and analysis to aid key decision making.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with various stakeholders to identify and monitor key performance drivers.
  • Highlight and report findings on key performance drivers, making recommendations and develop action plan for improvements
  • Providing commercial insight and analysis of key business areas in order to drive key decision making across the Senior Management Team
  • Using financial models to predict growth and forecast performance
  • Using influencing and negotiating skills among the senior management team to focus on key opportunity areas
  • Demonstrating gravitas and visibility to the organisation, particularly with non-finance stakeholders enabling them to understand financial performance and the importance of driving operational and business performance
  • Ensureing timely and accurate financial information is distributed to stakeholders
  • Supporting the Commercial Fiance Manager with the preparation of the annual budgets & forecasts
  • To provide assistance with any acquisitions e.g. due diligence and operational integration
  • Contribution to Divisional board meetings & senior team reviews
  • Demonstrating best practice to the team of Finance Analysts within the business area


To be considered you will be:

  • Qualified CIMA / ACCA accountant (Qualified by Experience may be considered)
  • Experienced working in a commercially driven role which required liaison with a variety of stakeholders (finance and non-finance)
  • Experience of working in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Sound modelling and analytical skills
  • An advanced MS Excel User. Power BI experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Comfortable with occasional travel
