A manufacturing business in Brighouse is looking for a Company accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

In this role you would be the only Finance professional alongside a consultancy FD who would work with you a couple of times a month.

This role is best suited to someone who has worked a similar role, qualifications are not necessary for this role.

Duties of the role:

• Oversight of the sales ledger, including processing sales invoices and liaising with the sales team in respect of jobs to be invoiced, posting of receipts and chasing debtors;
• Maintaining the purchase ledger, including processing purchase invoices, obtaining approval of all invoices and making payments to suppliers;
• Input and reconcile all bank and petty cash transactions;
• Prepare VAT Returns and submit to HMRC;
• Prepare salaries for the employees and make payments to them and HMRC;
• Preparation of monthly management accounts including processing month end journals and reconciling control accounts;
• Update cash flow forecasts to assist the FD;

This role will offer hybrid working.

Salary: Up to £43,000
