Marks Sattin are currently partnering with a UK based global Recruitment group based in Chesterfield for the role of Credit Controller! This is a permanent position paying up to £24,000 with a 35 hour week with flexible working.

This role would be looking at their permanent recruitment ledger, which is currently sat at £6 million.

Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, you will work pro-actively to manage and maintain your accounts to maximise cash flow and minimise bad debts.

Role Responsibilities

Responsible for debt collection and query resolution across specific allocated accounts ensuring:

• Issuing of invoices following customer specification
• Payments are collected within agreed payment terms
• Escalation of issues as they arise
• Issue credit notes / amended invoices where necessary
• Documentation of all discussions with clients within Nav
• Establishment of excellent working relationships with customers and internal Operational Teams
• Perform credit checks on new customers and create customer accounts ensuring all paperwork received is in line with Company Policy
• Liaise with cash allocator to ensure allocation of payments to customer accounts in a timely and accurate manner

Previous Experience & Skills

• Must be able to demonstrate that they have had previous credit control experience in a high volume department.
• A good knowledge of basic IT and intermediate Excel skills
• An excellent telephone manner and is able to act calm under pressure or in difficult customer conversations
• Knowledge of Opera and Navision (Preferable)
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
