Start your job searchA clinical stage biotech company with exciting growth plans is currently looking to bolster it's UK Finance team via the recruitment of a Financial Controller.
The Financial Controller will report to the VP, Finance in the U.S, and will be supported by a Bookkeeper and administrative team. As the business continues to grow it's European operations the finance function is forecast to grow accordingly, adding headcount to ensure a best in practice finance function exists.
Duties and responsibilities:
- The preparation of monthly management accounts and performance analysis.
- Preparing monthly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Annual budgeting and forecasting duties.
- Business partnering various senior level stakeholders and supporting the development of their strategies and goals.
- The implementation of improved systems, processes and procedures.
- The implementation of robust internal controls.
- Ensuring all accounting transactions are correctly accounted for.
- Management of the annual audit process.
- All other duties in support of the businesses continued growth, and as directed by the VP, Finance.
Candidate requirements:
- Qualified accountant.
- A broad financial skill set.
- The ability to add commercial insight and value.
- Excellent communication and business partnering skills.
- Experience gained from a biotech, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing business would be of great advantage.
