Our client is a private-equity backed technology business who are looking for high calibre Finance Director who will operate as a strategic partner to the CEO, while also ensuring there are strong systems, controls and processes in place to support this rapidly growing business and make it ready for an exit. This is an exciting company who are high-scaling in a fascinating industry and rapidly changing market.

The Finance Director responsibilities will include supporting the Finance Director and the leadership team and taking responsibility for the financial function. Additionally, the Finance Director will commercialise the business, create KPIs and strategic metrics, as well as improving full board reporting in preparation for exit. You'll be an instrumental part of the leadership team, partnering with and presenting to the private equity house. As the financial number one, you will be crucial in planning the future growth of the company and realising the company vision.

The ideal Finance Director candidate must have:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA).
  • Developed new systems and processes as a business has grown whilst maintaining day to day control.
  • Be a capable communicator, and be able to present to both investors and shareholders.
  • Having experience in a private-equity backed business would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Prepare the business for a successful exit.
  • Ability to mentor and motivate the finance team.

Uniquely the client would consider a candidate making a move as a Financial Director in a smaller business or a Group Financial Controller in a large business. Alternatively, they would consider a candidate from other sectors, late mover out of practice and/or working in transactional services with significant exposure in Private Equity. This is a real opportunity for an ambitious candidate on an upward trajectory looking to make the first step in to the FD role in a PE backed technology business.

Please note that due to the high volume of applicants only successful candidates will be contacted with further information about this role.
