Are you a strategic financial leader ready to step into a role with a clear path to Financial Controller? Join a leading manufacturing business in Doncaster as their next Finance Business Partner, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping the financial success of our operations and drive long-term growth.

About the Role:

As Finance Business Partner, you'll be a key member of the finance team, providing insight, analysis, and support to senior management. You'll have full ownership of the P&L, and you'll be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and helping shape the financial strategy of the business. In this dynamic, hands-on role, you'll work closely with operational teams to drive efficiencies and improve overall profitability. This role is designed with succession in mind, offering a clear and structured path to Financial Controller for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • P&L Ownership: Full accountability for managing and optimising the profit and loss statement, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insight to support effective financial planning and decision-making.
  • Financial Analysis: Deliver high-quality financial analysis to help drive business performance, with a focus on manufacturing KPIs and operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and department heads, providing financial insight and guidance to support business goals.
  • Strategic Projects: Support key business initiatives and lead financial projects that enhance performance, drive growth, and add value.
  • Management: The role will oversee a small team.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be a qualified finance professional (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) with a solid background in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment. You'll bring experience in owning a P&L and driving the budgeting and forecasting cycle. Strong analytical skills and the ability to influence and partner with senior leaders will be critical to your success.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manufacturing industry experience (essential).
  • Strong business partnering skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and driving results.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

What's in it for you?

  • Career Progression: A clear, structured career path to Financial Controller, with mentorship and support from senior leaders.
  • Impactful Work: Be at the heart of strategic decision-making in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Competitive Package: An attractive salary, plus benefits, in line with your experience and future potential.
