Financial and Management Accountant

Excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a professional consulting organisation supporting government/public sector Finance Team. This role will play a key role in business partnering with cost centre owners and other business units, liaising and coordination with other finance units and the oversight and reporting on the fixed assets of the organisation.

The successful candidate will play a lead role in budget coordination, business partnering and financial analysis. Additionally they will support the monthly financial reporting process and complete other key tasks.

Duties will include:

  • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements and audit files for audit
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of the month end management reporting and business partnering
  • Completion of weekly, monthly and annual controls and assist in development and enhancement of control procedures and matrices;
  • Prepare financial analysis, provide reporting expertise and financial support to the business;
  • Coordinate the annual budget process and consolidation of inputs from various stakeholders and finance units;
  • Preparing monthly variance analysis reports and business partnering with business units to understand and resolve variances, and provide insight into the figures supporting financial control and a value for money ethos;
  • Provide analysis and support to the Finance Managers and Financial Controller on ad hoc projects

The successful candidate will be:

  • Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA
  • 3-5 years Accounting experience
  • Strong business partnering & stakeholder management experience
  • A logical approach to resolution
  • Excellent communication skill essential
