The Role: Financial Analyst
The Client: Banking
The Location: London City Centre (4-5 days in the office)
The Role:
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial accounts in line with international accounting standards and internal policies.
- Produce monthly management accounts and deliver performance insights ahead of regulatory deadlines.
- Report on financial performance, including key metrics and KPIs, to senior leadership.
- Manage and reconcile operational cash balances and flows.Support and enhance the financial control environment to ensure robustness and compliance.
- Perform day-to-day accounts payable activities, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Support the collection of accounts receivable balances.Prepare and submit regulatory returns within the finance function's remit.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
Prior experience:
- Experience in a similar position (Ideally Banking experience)
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA).
- Proficiency in Excel and ability to work with large datasets.
- Any exposure to PowerBI, SQL etc is advantageous
- Exposure to to FX is a plus
