Financial Controller

Location: Sheffield (hybrid working)

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000

We are working with a fast-growing business to recruit an experienced Financial Controller. This is a key leadership role within the finance function, offering the opportunity to shape financial strategy, improve controls, and support business growth in a dynamic, high-performance environment.

The Role
As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of financial reporting, controls, and compliance while leading a high-performing finance team. You will partner closely with senior leadership to provide insight, improve processes, and ensure strong financial governance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly management accounts, financial reporting, and forecasting
• Lead budgeting and financial planning processes
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure statutory compliance
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and balance sheet integrity
• Lead and develop the finance team, driving continuous improvement
• Partner with senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making
• Manage audit processes and liaise with external advisors

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent commercial acumen and attention to detail
