The details

Role - Financial Controller Location - Stockport Salary - Between £50,000 and £60,000 + benefits.

Marks Sattin are currently recruiting for a growing business in their search for a Financial Controller to work out of their Stockport office on either a full or part time basis.

The successful candidate will need to be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a strong academic background. Strong technical accounting skills are absolutely essential and you will need to be prepared to get into the detail of the accounts. Advanced Excel skills are crucial and any exposure to working with an SME business would be a distinct advantage. Key duties for the Financial Controller role will involve:

  • Responsible for month-end close
  • Cashflow analysis
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Profitability analysis
  • Variance analysis and reporting on trends
  • Assist with other areas of the business Operations, HR, commercial etc.
  • KPI Reporting
  • Statutory accounts production
  • Lead in the development and improvement of processes, controls and systems
  • Management of a small finance team

Salary for the role is anywhere between £50,000 and £60,000

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a varied accounting history who has experience of working for a dynamic SME business and wants to work closely with the senior management.
