Award winning SME is looking to appoint Financial Controller to support the founders with improving the finance structure. Witnessing exponential online growth over the past 12 months, the business has pivoted well and is in a strong cash position with an exciting growth trajectory planned. You will be responsible for a small team in finance, with additional responsibility for Legal, Operations and HR. Reporting into the owners, you will be widely regarded as an important member of the leadership team and given an opportunity to be part of this huge success story.

The role:

• Ownership of all day to day finances across both businesses
• Responsible for leading a small team (AAT Level 3)
• Provide meaningful Management Reports to help drive business performance
• Weekly, Monthly and Annual cash flow forecasting
• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
• Work closely with the Auditors to ensure proper compliance with all Accounting Standards
• Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
• Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
• Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
• Assist in presenting reports to Leadership Team

The candidate:

• Fully qualified Accountant (AC/ACCA/ACMA equivalent)
• Experience of leading a small team within an owner managed/ SME environment
• Comfortable in challenging the business to improve processes
• Strong analytical judgment and confidence in decision making
• Commercially minded, always looking for opportunities to grow
