A high-growth, PE backed technology business based in central London is currently seeking their first FP&A hire to join the team. This role will play a critical part in financial analysis and collaborating across departments to provide insights that drive business performance and optimise financial outcomes. Reporting to the CFO, responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasting processes.
  • Perform financial analysis to contribute to long-term financial plans.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with various business units to analyse KPIs and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and presentations for leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and revenue growth.
  • Utilise financial systems and tools (Excel, ERP systems, BI tools) to streamline reporting and analysis.
  • Support on post-acquisition integration following M&A activity - streamlining processes, systems and reporting.
  • Additional ad-hoc analysis and working on special projects as needed.

The ideal candidate will be qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), and have relevant FP&A/ analytical experience, preferably working within a PE backed business - being adaptable to a high-growth and changing environment. Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent proficiency in Excel (financial modelling, pivot tables, and data analysis) and financial software. Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders is essential, and the role would be suited to someone who is detail-oriented with strong organisational and time-management skills.
