Leading retail company is looking for a Group Employment Tax Manager for three days per week. This is an excellent opportunity and you will be trusted business partner in providing specialist technical employment tax support to key stakeholders and liaising with staff across all various businesses. You will provide direction and leadership to the businesses in all employment tax matters, ensuring tax risks are managed or eliminated. In addition, you will work with the Head of Tax to embed a culture of continuous improvement within the mindset of the teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead the employment taxes function, ensuring operational delivery of the strategy.
• Ensure all businesses are compliant in terms of their payroll, benefits, PSA, IR35, national minimum wage, apprenticeship levy, short term business visitors, CIS, SAO (as regards employment taxes) and other employment tax related rules and regulations.
• Negotiate and work with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) on live issues to ensure that the best outcome is achieved.
• Provide advice on transactions, new contracts and changes to the businesses (including global mobility) and to ensure that these are compliant as well as tax efficient.

You will be a qualified tax accountant with experience working in practice. You're either looking to make your first move into industry or have worked in industry for a number of years. If the latter experience or having worked in retail would be extremely desirable.
