Role detail:

This job will report to the Financial Controller and offers scope to develop your skills in a very friendly organisation and reporting into qualified finance professionals

• Preparation of Group financial statements that form a significant part of the annual and interim reports
• Preparation of the Group financial statements
• Preparation of the statutory accounts for all subsidiaries and joint ventures under FRS101
• Assist in the annual audit and other projects
• Preparing and reviewing audit schedules
• Production of monthly reports and schedules to meet group requirements and deadlines
• Ensuring accurate representation of accounts data through completion of reconciliations and maintenance of data quality
• Review of balance sheet reconciliations, escalating risks and issues
• Preparation of Group VAT returns

The ideal candidate for this role will be:

• ACA/ACCA/ACMA qualified
• Excellent communication skills - a proven ability to converse with peers and senior leaders
• Sound understanding of financial reporting - up to date with current reporting standards
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Ability to work positively within a change environment and possess change leadership qualities.
• Excellent attention to detail, organised, with strong problem solving skills.
