Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Group Tax Manager will play a key role in the finance team, providing strategic, technical and commercial tax advice and managing the group's tax compliance work. This is a standalone role in tax but will involve lots of interaction with senior stakeholders including the CFO, and also managing relationships with external advisors and HMRC.

Responsibilities will include:

• UK corporation tax compliance
• VAT and customs compliance
• Employment tax policy and compliance
• Overseeing international tax filings
• Supporting delivery of the groups tax strategy
• Maximising R&D and other tax reliefs
• Senior Accounting Officer submissions
• Continuous process and systems improvements
• Being the subject matter expert within the business for tax and supporting on ad hoc queries

In order to be successful, candidates will possess a relevant qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CTA and have experience of working with a range of taxes in another in house role or at a senior level in practice. In addition to technical expertise, strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to build credible relationships with senior stakeholders.
