This is a rare opportunity to join this fantastic forward thinking FS business who are looking to bring on a Technical Accounting Leader.
As a Head of Financial Accounting, you will bring your technical accounting expertise and proactively manage the Group's Financial Accounting, manage the external audit relationships and manage a team of well established Financial Accountants.
Responsibilities:
- Support the team with technical expertise relating to accounting.
- Provide technical support on accounting matters, including supporting the Treasury team with the accounting for structured funding arrangements.
- Assistance with the management, coordination and preparation of Group Statutory Financial Statements.
- Coordination of the Group and local year-end statutory audits
- Preparation of Quarterly Financial Information for external reporting to Investors.
- Co-ordination, timetabling and management of Group external reporting requirements on a quarterly basis
- Leading your own team, you will be responsible for providing excellent leadership, coaching and management. You'll create a high performing team and support colleagues in their development
Skills & Experience needed
- ACA or equivalent qualified Accountant
- Proven track record or leading an accounting team
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry such as Financial Services
- Great leadership skills
- Technical accounting experience
- Financial Control experience
- Excellent communication skills.
