Head of Financial Accounting

* £80K-£100K + Package
* West Yorkshire (Hybrid)

This is a rare opportunity to join this fantastic forward thinking FS business who are looking to bring on a Technical Accounting Leader.

As a Head of Financial Accounting, you will bring your technical accounting expertise and proactively manage the Group's Financial Accounting, manage the external audit relationships and manage a team of well established Financial Accountants.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the team with technical expertise relating to accounting.
  • Provide technical support on accounting matters, including supporting the Treasury team with the accounting for structured funding arrangements.
  • Assistance with the management, coordination and preparation of Group Statutory Financial Statements.
  • Coordination of the Group and local year-end statutory audits
  • Preparation of Quarterly Financial Information for external reporting to Investors.
  • Co-ordination, timetabling and management of Group external reporting requirements on a quarterly basis
  • Leading your own team, you will be responsible for providing excellent leadership, coaching and management. You'll create a high performing team and support colleagues in their development

Skills & Experience needed

  • ACA or equivalent qualified Accountant
  • Proven track record or leading an accounting team
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry such as Financial Services
  • Great leadership skills
  • Technical accounting experience
  • Financial Control experience
  • Excellent communication skills.
