Head of Operations Finance

We are working with an exciting client within the Consumer space who need someone to come in and support with leading financial planning and analysis in the FP&A and Supply Chain Finance team. Drive strategic initiatives, standardise processes, and oversee Capex management. Ensure accurate budgeting and performance reviews.

Location: Slough - Hybrid working

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 + benefits dependent on experience level

Duties:

• Understand Supply Chain costs and performance drivers to provide insights for profitability.
• Collaborate on strategic projects and develop a 3-year Supply Chain roadmap with the Operations Director.
• Standardize financial processes across manufacturing sites for consistency and control.
• Train and review site finance teams, promoting best practices.
• Lead Supply Chain financial planning and period-end reporting, including inventory management.
• Ensure accuracy and alignment in consolidations and analyses.
• Set KPIs and targets with the Operations Director, Plant Managers, and Site Finance Controllers.
• Manage Capex forecasting, budgeting, and tracking, ensuring compliance.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and prime cost management for efficiency.
• Recruit, develop, and support site finance controllers and accountants to build a high-performing team.

Skills / Questions:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with a number of years PQE
• Demonstrated finance expertise within a manufacturing setting
• Experience in budgeting and planning
• Background in operations or site finance
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Office applications
• Essential skills in influencing and coaching
• Experience working cross-functionally and across multiple sites
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of product or standard costing
• Familiarity with investment appraisal techniques
