A private equity-backed consumer goods manufacturer, with c. £10-15m turnover, is looking for an Interim Financial Controller to support its financial operations and strategic planning. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a hands-on, commercially focused role, ideal for a senior finance professional with strong data analysis skills and experience in PE-backed businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owning monthly management accounts and producing analysis to aid commercial decisions.
- Catch up on budgeting and prepare for the financial year-end.
- Develop a 3-year business plan, including cash flow modelling.
- Implement key business KPIs and create a financial dashboard to support decision-making.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including a review of top customers.
- Support financial due diligence and liaise with external advisors.
Candidate Requirements:
ACA/ACCA (or equivelant) qualified with 10+ years' experience (strong candidates with less experience will be considered).
- Strong data analysis and costing model experience.
- Knowledge of market price changes and their financial impact.
- Experience with SAGE 200 preferred.
- Previous SME experience in a PE-backed environment is essential.
- Food/FMCG or manufacturing background is a plus, but not required.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable handling investor queries.
- Hybrid working: London-based candidates preferred, with flexibility for remote work.
