Marks Sattin are partnering with a rapidly growing Housing / Property organisation in Birmingham who are seeking a Management Accountant on a full time, permanent basis. This is a brand new position for my client given their rapid expansion and further growth plans. The position wil be an office based role requiring 5 days per week in the office, so applicants must be commutable to Birmingham.

My client are going through a truly exciting time having won their most lucrative contract, as a result they are seeking 2 x Management Accountants to join their finance team. The Management Accountants will report to the Financial Controller and will support the Financial Controller in the budgeting & forecasting process, cash flow management and month-end process.


Key Responsibilities of Management Accountant include:

• Supervision and guidance of an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team member
• Supporting the Financial Controller in production of monthly management accounts
• Analysing trends in financial performance and reporting any opportunities, risks or anomolies
• Assisting the Financial Controller with budgeting and forecasting process
• Playing a key role during the month end period
• Ensuring continuous improvement to the integrity of the finance system and reporting procedures
• Supporting the Financial Controller with ad-hoc projects

To be considered you must:

• Be a Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
• Have experience in a similar role
• Be a proficient Excel user with the ability to analyse large data sets
• Be able to commute to the Central Birmingham offices 5 days per week
• Be a proactive and forward thinking accountant with the ability to "see the bigger picture"
• Be a strong communicator with the ability to liaise with senior stakeholders and non-finance teams
