Marks Sattin are currently working with a Goole based manufacturing business to assist with the recruitment of a Finance Analyst. This is a new role within the business as they look to strengthen and grow their finance function. As a Manufacturing Accountant, you will provide key financial information to your stakeholders so that the business is able to confidently track progress against divisional targets and make informed decisions. An important part of the role will also be to build effective relationships as Business Partner to the Site Manager and Operations Managers, therefore self-confidence and strong communication skills are essential.

You will be a key member of the main Finance team and will spend a significant amount of time understanding stakeholder issues and working with them to develop solutions. You will need to have strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills as you'll be managing large volumes of data and working towards varying deadlines.

Key responsibilities:

  • Site P&L and period end reporting for our manufacturing teams
  • Management of KPIs and drive improvement focus and activity within Manufacturing
  • Reviewing trends and developing insight to identify risks and opportunities
  • Proactively challenge variances to achieve and drive operational performance
  • Analyse issues and report back in a professional and informative manner
  • Liaise closely with Manufacturing to prepare operational budgets and forecasting
  • Reporting on the capital expenditure for the division
  • Accurate financial reporting on capital expenditure

Skills;

  • Qualified CIMA/ ACCA / ACA with a strong background in a similar role within the manufacturing sector
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and have a hands-on and structured approach to work
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills
  • Strong IT skills, specifically on excel and ERP systems
  • Change management or continuous improvement mentality
