Marks Sattin are pleased to be working with a reputable Consultancy firm in Walsall to recruit a Payroll Manager on a permanent basis. The Payroll Manager will report directly to the Finance Director and will be responsible for managing a team of two Payroll Administrators.

The position is a full time position and hybrid working options are available, with 2-3 days per week expected from the offices.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager include:

• Managing two Payroll Administrators, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Processing end to end payrolls, including uploading BACS files and other forms of payment
• Calculating Statutory payments and liaising with necessary stakeholders to ensure that payments are made correctly to employees
• Uploading and making payments to pension providers
• Taking calls and managing queries ensuring that they are dealt with in a timely fashion
• Posting all wages and pensions into SAGE accounting software
• Ensuring all HMRC regulations are adhered to, and payments are made on time
• Providing outsourced payroll services to clients, ensuring their needs are met when processing weekly and monthly payrolls and uploading BACS files
• Managing client accounts, ensuring funds have cleared for wages, HMRC and pension payments, and that payments are made successfully and on time

To be considered for the Payroll Manager position, you must:

• Have previous experience in a Senior Payroll position. i.e. Payroll Supervisor, Payroll Team Leader or Payroll Manager position
• Be able to motivate a team
• Have knowledge of Sage and/or Xero accounting softwares
• Be able to work to tight deadlines
• Be able to prioritise workloads effectly
• Be a strong communicator with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
• Have continuous improvement mindset to drive efficiencies
