Payroll Specialist - Reading - £35,000 to £38,000

We are helping our Practice clients find a Payroll SPecialist to sit in their client Payroll team.

These guys pride themselves on a collaborative, transparent work environment, have an extremely high staff retention rate and have seen their headcount double over the past 4 years.

Abit more about the role....

You will be allocated your own portfolio of clients and will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of weekly and monthly payrolls including starters, leavers, personal changes, holiday pay and statutory payments. You will be supported by the existing members of the payroll team and between you service in excess of 220 clients.

To be considered you will have payroll experience within a professional practice environment.

Knowledge of RTI and Auto Enrolment are essential as well as the ability to understand and break down payslips and re perform tax calculations manually. Experience of IRIS Payroll Professional is preferable but not essential.

The technical skills, experience and background we'd expect to see from candidates suitable for this opportunity include:

  • Extensive experience in running payrolls from start to finish including all statutory calculations, RTI and year end. Experience of a multi-payroll environment, or experience within professional practice an advantage.
  • End-to-end payroll processing, with working knowledge of auto-enrolment, RTI and year-end procedures.
  • Dealing with multiple/complex payrolls.
  • You must be hands-on, proactive, with attention to detail, someone who can create a process and then drive it forward.
  • Relevant payroll qualifications preferred (e.g., CIPP) bit not essential. Applications from those with good hands-on and relevant experience will also be welcomed.
  • Experience of IRIS Payroll Professional would be an advantage, training will be given.
