A very successful London based Bank is currently seeking an experienced "Product Controller" on a Fixed Term contract basis for 12 months.
Salary & benefits - £67,000-£77,000 depending on experience / 4 days a week in the office
The product controller role sits within the Finance team with key relationships with across Treasury and Operations departments. Working as part of a small team you will have responsibility for;
- The daily P&L for the FX Trading desk
- Flash reporting in regards the P&L
- Reviewing hedge accounting and effectiveness of hedges
- IPV - independent price verification
- Providing information to the management accounts team to support reporting
- Dealing with audit queries
- Assisting with testing of new systems and ensuring the processes are fully documented
- Prepare financial analysis for the ALCO committee
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA) or CFA
- Strong knowledge of financial products like treasury bonds, FX derivatives, interest rate swaps and other money market products and how to account for them
- You must have previous experience of working in a product control function, dealing with these securities day to day
- Strong Excel & Powerpoint skills / VBA & SQL skills preferable
- Mandarin language skills would be useful
