Property Accountant - London
Seeking a Property Accountant for an 8-month contract within a Real Estate business based in Central London. Looking for a candidate with a strong background in service charge accounting experience across large commercial businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance of complex service charge calculations. Including net internal area and density calculations.
- Preparation of service charge budgets and calculation of service charges for tenants.
- Reviewing service charge expenditure and investigating variances against budget, handling forecasting adjustments if required and presenting data at budget meetings with budget holders.
- Communicating effectively with all relevant parties to ensure timely delivery of monthly reports.
- Assist with system development and process automation of service charges.
- Review Tenant and Landlord Recovery account and reconcile monthly.
- Quarterly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and assisting the Financial Controller in presenting financial results to Group Finance on a quarterly basis.
Requirements:
- 5 years in a service charge accounting background
- Part-Qualified accountant or Studying (ACA, ACCA or ACMA) is preferred.
- Possess good communication skills
