Senior Business Analyst - Energy Trading

THE ASSIGNMENT

Business Analysts have always been the key to the success of the Digital & IT team, working side-by-side with our colleagues across different functions within the organisation to ensure that what we deliver meets and exceeds their expectations. At the same time, the Business Analyst has an important role in the digital transformation, supporting the Energy Transition of the company.

We are therefore looking for a Business Analyst that is both business focused and technology focused.

He will cover the whole application lifecycle (starting from requirement gathering, analysis, design & testing, through to post go-live). You will use your skills in communication, requirement gathering, business process analysis and customer focus using an agile and design thinking approach to ensure that new developments and systems are fit for purpose. Your ability to problem solve, also leveraging your knowledge on technologies like cloud, data analytics, BI, ML/AI and cybersecurity, will allow you to propose new & innovative solutions to business as well as support the digital transformation and continuous improvement across our application landscape.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in delivering and transforming the best possible systems for the trading and risk IT portfolio by:

▪ Working side-by-side with other IT teams and external parties to contribute in

- designing new solutions

- transforming the existing portfolio of live applications into a cloud native architecture

▪ Analysing business needs and translating into Data oriented and Microservices solutions

▪ Working closely with development teams to analyse, prototype and deliver on requirements as efficiently as possible cloud-native solutions

▪ Supporting requirements gatherings and specifications, choosing the most effective means to elicit and document these with workshops, storyboards, user stories, or other methods

▪ Analysing and verifying requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards, as well as documenting these fully

▪ Complying with established processes where required, and working across teams to define processes and documentation/training as new features and systems are implemented

▪ Contribute to the definition of full testing procedures, and working with our business colleagues to plan and deliver these to ensure than newly developed functionality and newly implemented systems are fit for purpose

▪ Have a holistic view of solutions and understand the wider impact

▪ Participate across the organisation to deliver far-reaching programmes of transformation or initiatives across all areas of the organisation, contributing on business and technology view.
