Are you ready to elevate your career with a world-renowned investment manager? Our client, a global leader in investment management with a strong foothold in the private credit sector, is seeking an Interim Senior Fund Controller to join their team.

Position Title: Interim Senior Fund Controller (Private Credit)
Location: London (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £90,000-£100,000 + Pension + Benefits

Duration: 12 Months

Job Responsibilities:

As an interim Senior Fund Controller, you will be at the heart of the fund oversight team, ensuring seamless operation and monitoring of various closed-ended funds within the direct lending space. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing quarterly NAV reporting, allocation files, capital statements, and financial statements from TPAs for a range of private credit/private debt funds.
  • Reviewing daily cash forecasting, monitoring investment activities, fund expenses, and managing liquidity requirements.
  • Assisting in the capital call and distribution process by reviewing schedules and notices prepared by third-party fund administrators (TPAs).
  • Preparing comprehensive investor reporting.
  • Analysing & calculating fund performance metrics like IRRs and Investment Multiples at both fund and asset levels.
  • Supporting investment teams with deal transactions and fund closing processes.
  • Understanding and managing fund closes and equalisation processes.
  • Overseeing credit and leverage facility operations, including drawdown, repayment, payment processes, and covenant reporting.
  • Calculating and reviewing management and performance fees.
  • Ensuring fund budgets and expenses align with documentation and expectations, with timely processing and approval of payments.
  • Collaborating with internal and external parties for the fund's external audit.

Selection Criteria:

  • You must be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA/CPA)
  • Experience with accounting for Luxembourg domiciled, private equity style closed-end funds,
  • Within Private Credit/Private Debt/Direct Lending strategies.
  • Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision, with a keen desire to learn.
  • Proficiency in Excel and complex formulas.
