Fund Operations Specialist - 6-Month initial Contract

Location: London (Hybrid) 3 days per week in the office

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Fund Operations Specialist to join our team on a 6-month initial contract. This role will focus on project management activities for the launch of a new evergreen private markets strategy designed for the private wealth market. The strategy aims to provide investors with enhanced liquidity and operational ease compared to traditional private equity funds.

You will take ownership of key workstreams including structuring, distribution, and operating model, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Coordination & Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams (investment, marketing, risk, legal, tax, compliance, operations) and external service providers.
  • Facilitate governance meetings and ensure timely reporting.
  • Prepare project plans, timelines, and progress reports.

• Fund Structuring & Operations

  • Coordinate with legal, tax, operations, and compliance teams on fund structuring.
  • Support development of the target operating model.

• Cost Management & Budgeting

  • Assist with cost models to optimise fund expenses and fee structures.
  • Track and monitor expenses to ensure cost efficiency.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong fund operations experience, ideally within private equity.
• Proven experience working with external legal and tax advisers on fund structuring.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
