Start your job searchAn excellent long term contract opportunity has arisen with a well-regarded Lloyds Insurance Syndicate who is currently seeking a Senior Syndicate Accountant for an 18 month contract to cover maternity leave.
The interim senior syndicate accountant will be responsible for all aspects of Lloyds syndicate reporting including; Regulatory Reporting, Technical Accounting and Financial Performance & Analysis.
As an experienced syndicate finance professional you will:
- Prepare and review various Lloyd's and regulatory returns including Quarterly Monitoring Return, Quarterly Reporting Templates, etc.
- Prepare financial reporting, both for management information and statutory purposes in accordance with required GAAP/standards
- Hands on in aspects of the monthly close,
- Work closely with the Operations Team, Actuarial and Underwriting
- Prepare and review financial analysis and performance reports, budgets and other financial plans for management information
- Develop and uphold policies and procedures to ensure appropriate controls are in place, including compliance with Sox
- Get involved in projects associated with reinsurance accounting
Skills & Experience required:
- You should be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA)
- Have at least 3 years' experience of working in a Lloyds Syndicate & hands on experience of producing syndicate regulatory returns
- Available to start within the next 1-2 months
Duration 12-18 months
Salary: £65000 - £75000 depending on experience
