We are looking for an experienced Senior VAT Manager to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping VAT compliance and advisory services across multiple jurisdictions, working with a diverse portfolio of internal stakeholders and external clients.

The Role

As Senior VAT Manager, you will lead and manage the end-to-end VAT compliance cycle, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to local regulations. You will also provide high-quality VAT advisory support on complex domestic and cross-border matters, while driving process improvements and leveraging technology to deliver best-in-class services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee VAT compliance and reporting activities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Provide technical VAT advice on transactions, contracts, and strategic projects.
• Manage VAT audits, HMRC enquiries, and disclosures.
• Lead VAT accounting processes, including reconciliations and journal preparation.
• Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the business.
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Onboard new entities into VAT compliance processes, including non-UK jurisdictions.
• Develop and mentor junior team members, providing technical training and guidance.

About You

• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in VAT compliance and advisory roles.
• Strong technical knowledge of VAT legislation and ability to apply it pragmatically.
• Skilled in VAT return preparation, filings, and VAT accounting.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience (Oracle, SAP desirable).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver in complex, fast-paced environments.
