Solution Architect - OpenLink Endur / ETRM



A global energy company is currently looking for a Solutions Architect with experience of ETRM systems / Endur for a contract to the end of the year to work within its Gas & Power trading business based in Canary Wharf

The main remit of the role is to work on a set of ongoing initiatives to increase the capability and breadth of non-linear trading support within its systems.



The person needs to be self-managing and have good Endur technical knowledge including commodity derivative instruments and preferably Connex.



Responsibilities

  • Working with diverse business stakeholders including front office (traders)
  • Engage with business and IT stakeholders to propose technology solutions for new trading requirements across Endur and bespoke systems
  • Requirements analysis and definition of architecture and technical designs for system interfaces between ETRM systems and related applications for trade flow, position management and risk management
  • Document and explain architecture options and cost estimates to senior personnel for decision-making
  • Work as part of an agile development environment including analysts, developers and testers to derive requirements, solutions and documentation
  • Propose appropriate test cases for new functionality and interfaces, particularly for non-functional requirements and impact on the existing systems and functionality

Skills Required

  • Proven experience of OpenLink Endur v10 or higher, preferably v14 in a commodity-trading environment, and in particular commodity derivative instruments and Endur interfacing patterns
  • Non-linear instruments including understanding of basic valuation and risk management metrics
  • Solution architecture in a trading system environment including proposing solution options and interface designs
  • Dealing with diverse and time-constrained stakeholders including front-office
