A leading energy infrastructure business is expanding its UK operations and seeking a Tax Manager to join its team. This is a newly created role within a new exciting project, offering long-term growth and strategic involvement in one of the UK's most forward-thinking energy initiatives.
The Role:
This standalone position will be responsible for overseeing Tax strategy and compliance across the UK entity. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for all tax-related matters, supporting both operational and strategic goals within a regulated framework.
Long term there will be scope to buildout a team.
Day to Day:
- Lead UK corporate tax compliance and planning
- Prepare and submit VAT and corporate tax returns
- Advise on tax implications of M&A, restructuring, and project financing
- Support audits, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Liaise with HMRC and other regulatory bodies
- Monitor legislative changes and assess impact
- Represent the business in relevant industry forums
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CTA qualified
- Strong UK corporate tax experience
- Background in energy, infrastructure, or regulated sectors (preferred)
- VAT and international tax knowledge
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
