Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a Big 4 Accountancy firm, supporting their Financial Advisory department. We are currently looking for a Transactional Services Assistant Manager/Manager to join an exciting and expanding team.
The successful candidate will be reporting and performing due diligence on a variety of accounts across multiple sectors, in support of the Mergers and Acquisition process. Typically, this will involve investigation of a proposed business from a number of viewpoints, in order to advise clients and ensure their ability to make an informed decision.
Roles are available at either Manager or Assistant Manager level, so varied experience will be applicable.
Typical duties will include:
- Developing an understanding of drivers of revenue, costs and cash flows of a target business, in a timely manner.
- The interpretation and analysis of publically available information, as well as management accounts and business plans.
- The analysis of balance sheets, cash flow statements and forecast income statements.
- The analysis of potential scenarios in lieu of the forecasts.
- Reporting key issues, such as potential risks, and addressing these with relevant recommendations.
Requirements for the successful candidate are:
- Relevant experience in Audit or Transactional Services within a professional services firm.
- An ACA qualification or equivalent qualification or experience.
- A 2:1 degree with high 'A' level results (or equivalent).
- Experience interacting with clients within the Financial Services Industry.
- Evidence of leadership and management skills.
- Strong report writing and reviewing abilities.
- A strong focus on client needs, ensuring high quality service.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to support business development initiatives.
