Marks Sattin Executive Search is working with a fast-growing, PE-Backed International B2B services business, with strong commercial momentum, an expanding customer base, and clear market opportunity, the business is entering a new phase of scale and value creation.

The CFO will play a central role in accelerating growth, shaping a modern finance function that delivers commercial insight, operational efficiency, and strategic support. This includes establishing clear performance metrics, improving forecasting and planning, and building a robust financial infrastructure to support future expansion and investment.

You will work closely with the leadership team to influence decision-making across the business, providing financial clarity around growth initiatives, cash flow, budgeting, and scenario planning. A key priority will be implementing or enhancing financial systems and reporting tools to give the business and investors greater visibility and control.

Uniquely, the client would consider candidates operating at Divisional Finance Director or Financial Controller level in a larger organisation now looking to step up to their first number one role. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of commercial acumen, operational grip, and leadership to help drive growth in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in a PE-Backed business, with strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Proven ability to scale finance functions and deliver operational improvements in unsophisticated environments
  • Skilled in designing and embedding key performance indicators and reporting frameworks
  • Track record of implementing systems and building scalable processes
  • Confident communicator with credibility at board level and with investors
