An international, real estate development business based in the heart of London is seeking a new commercial finance hire to join the team. This is a business partnering role, management a small team and reporting UK Managing Director. Responsibilities include:
- Lead on the quarterly budgeting and annual strategic planning process.
- Prepare variance analysis on budget reviews.
- Prepare management reporting and tenant packs and monitor financial risk with contract partners.
- Prepare KPI reporting and analysis, and lead on BI tools and data using Tableau and Qlik software.
- Reviewing accounts of new acquisition SPVs and lead on finance related queries.
- Cash flow management and forecasting.
- Develop strong financial understanding of new development and capex projects across the portfolio.
- Have a good understanding of UK company obligations, including knowledge of VAT.
- Maintain key data on SAP including asset management tasks, lettings, lease renewals and reviews.
- Working with HQ treasury teams to ensure funds are in place for UK transactions.
- Provide key financial data and analysis for quarterly valuation process and quarter end close.
- Communicate asset management initiatives to wider business and HQ.
- Draft quarterly operation report for the executive team, including commentary on trade performance.
- Oversight of accounts receivable tasks, including rental income billing, recharges, and liaising with operators to ensure cash collection remain optimised.
- Manage and oversee the person responsible for accounts payable for the UK business and ensure sign off.
- Management, training and development of a team of two.
- Assist with the development of new software and operation tools.
- Process improvement and project work, to add value and drive efficiency.
The ideal candidate will be qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and will have experience working in a commercial finance/ financial analysis role within the real estate sector. Candidates must have exceptional analytical skills, with ability to build relationships and work well with stakeholders across various business units. The role would suit someone who is systems savvy and has prior experience using BI tools. Team management experience is desirable, and candidates must have a proactive nature, looking at ways to add value and drive efficiency.
