Payments Reconciliation specialist (Contract)
- Initial 3-month Contract
- Pay rate: £250-£300 per day via umbrella
- Hybrid Working: 2/3 days in the office (London
- Candidates must be available to start by the 8th June 2026
We're recruiting for a Payments Reconciliation specialist to join a Fintech firm based in London and support transaction reviews and account reconciliation across internal systems and payment platforms.
Please note: This is a manual reconciliation and verification role, not a data analyst position.
Responsibilities:
- Verify customer payment activity and account records
- Reconcile balances across platforms such as Stripe and PayPal
- Investigate missing transactions, refunds, and payment discrepancies
- Maintain accurate tracking logs and escalate issues where needed
- Support operational readiness during a system transition period
Requirements:
- Candidates must be available to start by the 8th June 2026
- Previous experience reconciling large Data/Payments sets.
- Financial services experience preferred.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident using Excel or Google Sheets
- Understanding of payment flows and financial records
- Able to manage high volumes of checks efficiently
