Marks Sattin is currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant on behalf of a well-established business based in Central Bradford!

Our client is looking for a candidate with a strong transactional finance background, ideally someone who is AAT qualified or currently studying, and eager to grow their career in finance. You'll play a key role in supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and providing general financial administrative support.

For this role, our client will pay up to £30,000 and can offer 1 day a week working from home. They can also offer AAT study support after passing of probation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journals
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and prepare depreciation schedules
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns
  • Conduct overhead and variance analysis
  • Check and post supplier bills
  • Produce ad-hoc financial reports and MI using Excel
  • Distribute month-end reports to partners
  • Support month-end processing and system rollover
  • Manage residual balances and bank reconciliations
  • Post and reconcile petty cash transactions
  • Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules for all client transactions
  • Input purchase ledger invoices into the system
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team
  • Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor queries
