About the Position

Due to company expansion, we are currently seeking an appropriately qualified Finance Business Partner who will provide specialist financial advice, develop relationships with leadership and operational personnel and financial acumen in the market research functions.

The successful applicant will report to the Group Manager- Finance and work closely with the research team to improve the quality of business decisions by analysing financial data, options and valuing opportunities to enhance business outcomes.

Duties include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Commercial support to the Operations team;
  • Ownership of monthly portfolio P&L;
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations team to compile the monthly progress claim & billings;
  • Report the monthly results of the portfolio to ensure accuracy;
  • Provide specialist financial advice;
  • Analyse sites and reporting of KPI's on weekly and monthly basis;
  • Partner with managers to assist in tracking monthly profitability and provide insight on earnings;
  • Participate in wider Portfolio Management activities as required including market analysis and operations and ad hoc analyses and project work;
  • Ensure all reconciliations are completed and reconciled;

Your Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will need to display the following experience:

  • ACA Qualified - Ideally big 4
  • Previously worked in a similar role in the last year
  • Commercial knowledge of the Resources Industry as relevant to financial reporting;
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of financial accounting /management accounting principles;
  • Analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to develop best practice solutions;
  • Ability to build relationship with stakeholders at multiple levels in multiple locations;
  • Advance-level of proficiency with the MS Excel and with an Intermediate-level of proficiency in MS Office suite;
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills and be an excellent communicator.
