An excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager to lead and mentor a small finance team while overseeing day-to-day accounts operations. This role combines hands-on financial management with the chance to develop junior staff, drive process improvements while working in a friendly flat structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage AP/AR functions and oversee payment runs.
- Supervise two junior finance staff.
- Ensure VAT compliance, including CIS and reverse charge.
- Perform bank reconciliations and support payroll processing.
- Handle scheduled payments (VAT, PAYE, corporation tax).
- Assist with month-end close and external audits.
- Maintain accurate financial records and improve processes.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role within construction (highly desirable).
- Strong VAT/CIS knowledge and team leadership experience.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero).
- AAT qualified minimum or working towards a relevant qualification.
