The details
I am working exclusively with an ambitious start-up business in the hospitality space is currently seeking a Finance Manager to join the team! This is a hands-on role to be a part of the business' journey, working in an entrepreneurial environment. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts and preparing analysis
- Business partner with departments across the business to assess the impact of key business decisions
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts
- Monitor and adjust forecasts as necessary based on performance.
- Support departments with financial data to optimise operational efficiency and performance
- Monitor cash flow and working capital, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, accounting principles, and legal regulations
- Analyse costs and expenses, identifying opportunities for cost reductions and process improvements
- Implement and improve financial processes and reporting systems to operate efficiently.
- Additional ad-hoc project work and analysis to support the Finance Director and wider business.
This role would be best suited to a candidate with a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and a minimum of 2+ years of experience in management accounting or a similar financial role. Candidates will have strong technical Skills and be proficient in accounting software with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Ideally you will have great analytical skills with the ability to analyse financial data, interpret trends, and provide actionable insights. Candidates must be strong communicators, and work well with stakeholders at all level, both in and outside of finance.
